Hello world, and welcome to a new career advice blog focused on helping EVERYONE dig what they do. Well, perhaps not everyone. Only those who really want it. And I think it’s time that everyone just throw out your notions of ‘work as work’ for now. Sure, work provides the financial means to live. But that is no reason to succumb to the belief that work can’t be terrifically fulfilling. In my years as a career counselor I’ve worked with people from all income brackets, education, experience. And the one common denominator for those who said they felt ‘happy’, was that they really liked their work. So that’s what we’re after here. No more blindly accepting a crummy situation at work. And absolutely no more accepting of ‘well you should be happy to have a job!’. No more.
